PHP Language

PHP is a recursive acronym for “PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor”. PHP started out as a small open source project and further used to manage dynamic content, databases, session tracking, even build entire e-commerce sites. Rasmus Lerdorf unleashed the first version of PHP way back in 1994.

PHP is a server side scripting language that is embedded in HTML. PHP is a programming language that can do all sorts of things: evaluate form data sent from a browser, build custom web content to serve the browser, talk to a database, and even send and receive cookies.
